SVCB and HTTPS records

SVCB and HTTPS records

SVCB and HTTPS records can publish service connection information, including alternative targets and parameters that compatible clients may use. HTTPS is a service-binding record type; it is not an HTTP response and does not itself create a redirect.

The client still has to connect to the selected endpoint and verify the TLS connection. A record can help a client discover options earlier, but it does not replace TLS, certificates, or application policy. Clients that do not support the record can continue using their ordinary connection process.
